I wish that we had changing leaves here. There is this one little area with cottonwoods by the wash that have these beautiful golden leaves that I love to drive by; it is the only changing leaves I have.

This is the Water Triad, these are really pale colors and it was very hard to get darks. I think it is because the purple in this is so low intensity.

I am trying to learn more about color and the mood of color. In the book, Art Escapes, the author talks about working with triads so the next few days is the triads that she uses in the same picture. It was exciting painting these. My favorite is the the earth triad. This is the Full Spectrum Triad.

Giraffe at the zoo. This Giraffe seemed like it was close enough for me to touch it. It was eating grass on the side of its exhibit at the zoo. I got a phone call in the middle of doing the sketch and had to leave to go work out a work crisis, but I think it is still a fun sketch.
